Kodi is blocked in UK for accessing certain addons and this is being controlled by your ISP. So, what should you do and is it possible to get access back?
According to the Express newspaper online, Sky TV are reporting that Premier League streams are becoming more difficult to find in the UK with some users reportedly giving up trying to find them.
Kodi owners who use the popular TV player to stream football illegally are now finding it harder to gain access to content online. That’s the news from football broadcaster, Sky, who are estimating the majority of streams are now being blocked. Speaking at the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) Conference 2017 in Macau, Matthew Hibbert, Head of Litigation, Sky said: “In terms of the impact on piracy, server blocking has been huge. “Live streams of the Premier League can no longer be easily found in the UK. - The Express Online
The ISPs in UK are now under orders to try and block servers that access live football matches for the Premier League and Scottish Premiership. This is now the Law and they have to comply or face prosecution.
Brian Thompson from Middlesbrough was recently given a 2 year suspended jail sentence for selling fully-loaded Kodi boxes to the general public and other businesses.
The Motion Picture Association of America recently reported that 26 million Kodi users were still accessing pirated content which is 70% of all users Worldwide.
So, is this the end of Kodi for UK users?
First, here is a stat: 1 in 6 Brits now use a VPN or Proxy Server for accessing blocked content. Before you jump into a VPN there's a few things you need to do first.
Why Kodi Blocks Are Working
Since the crackdown on Kodi started in 2016, we have seen laws passed in British and European courts which now deem these streams to be illegal.
Anyone accessing them can be prosecuted in court. That's a fact and it is undisputed. Of course, they're not going to prosecute everyone but they may decide to make an example of some people in the future.
Another problem you are facing is the surveillance that you may be under. In 2016 the UK Parliament passed a new law called the Investigatory Powers Bill which quickly became known as the Snoopers' Charter.
This allows them to effectively spy on you and record your online activities. They are even entitled to hack into your device when you are online and share this information with 50 other government agencies. A scary thought.
Nowadays your ISP can tell what you access by tracking your IP address. This is how they block you from accessing certain servers which also have a traceable IP address.
If you click on a link you may be getting a message that says "no stream available" in whichever Kodi addon you are using. Each ISP is different so first we need to focus on your internet supplier.
How To Remove The Blocks
If you watch the video below you will find instructions on modifying settings for various UK internet providers. Each ISP is different so please watch the video first.
Once you have followed the instructions for your ISP then next step is to keep the blocks off. If your ISP is not listed you may be able to jump to the next step and it may still work without modifying any ISP settings.
How To Keep The Blocks Off
In the UK we are now being told that 17% of the population either use a VPN or proxy server when online or active on a 3G or 4G telephone network.
There are plenty free VPN providers out there and some even offer unlimited data. However, take it from me these are a load of crap and you are wasting your time trying to use them.
They are free for a reason and you are not safe using them. They have lack of servers which means lack of IP addresses and some of them even retain your data logs.
A good VPN will keep the blocks off and allow you to stream safely. A VPN subscription is very affordable now and they are pretty much a necessity with all the cyber crime today. This will keep the blocks off when using Kodi.
I use PureVPN and I've teamed up with them to get you a very unique offer. Right now you can get their VPN for only $1.92 per month, which is a saving of 81%.

Best Addons for Kodi
When the latest version of Kodi was rolled out it looked completely different to previous versions. The whole interface was revamped and it took some time to get familiar with it.
These days when you install Kodi you can do it from the Play Store. If you are using a Fire Stick or another device that doesn't have access to the Play Store you may have to sideload it.
Either way, it now only installs a BASIC version of Kodi with no third-party addons. They have done this to protect themselves from prosecution.
Easiest Way to Access the Best Addons
The easiest way to get full access to all of your favorite addons is to install a custom Kodi Build. This will add a lot of featured addons automatically and when a new build update is available you will be notified by a popup.
This means you will always have addons that are up-to-date and in full working order. There are various custom builds available but the one I like is called No Limits.
It adds a nice wallpaper like the one above (that's the White Walkers Night King from Game of Thrones if you didn't already know) and an easy to use menu.
Check out my video below which shows how to install the No Limits Builds. Once the installation is finished and you re-enter Kodi it will already be set up.
