Check out my tutorial for the Indigo Kodi Addon Installer. Every step is covered and once it is installed you will be able to use the TVAddons Indigo app.
In the old days of XBMC (the old name for Kodi) we never had it as easy. I do remember being able to use the Config Wizard which was great but the Indigo addon is much better and easier to use.
This step-by-step guide will show you how to install the new Fusion repo and then install the Indigo addon installer. I will also include a video showing all the steps.
Kodi is a hot topic right now but TVAddons are trying to rally the troops with a defiant message for the copyright bullies who are attacking unofficial Kodi vendors with law suits and threats.
TVADDons are currently facing legal action after being closed down and their domain seized but they have fought back with a new domain and are prepared to keep fighting for the sake of the Kodi community.
How to install Indigo addon installer
Below is a step-by-step guide for adding TVADDons' Indigo installer. At the end there is also a video showing the full procedure. This tutorial is for latest Kodi V17 Krypton.
Step 1: Open Kodi and click on the Settings icon.
Step 2: Click on File Manager to add a new source.
Step 3: Select Add Source.
Step 4: Click on the line where it says <None>.
Step 5: Enter http://fusion.tvaddons.co as shown and press OK.
Step 6: Click on the empty line to name it.
Step 7: Give it a name (anything).
Step 8: Press OK. It should load without any errors but if you get a message "not found" go back and check the URL is entered correctly. You shouldn't add it if you get any error message.
Step 9: Press Escape button to go back to main menu (Kodi home screen) and select Add-ons.
Step 10: Select the Add-ons installer icon.
Step 11: Select Install from zip file.
Step 12: Select Fusion-repo or whichever name you entered.
Step 13: Select Begin-here folder.
Step 14: Select plugin.program.indigo-3.0.2.zip or the latest version.
Step 15: Wait until the popup appears to say it is installed.
Step 16: Go back to the Kodi home screen and you should now see Indigo under Program add-ons and Video add-ons.
What does Indigo do?
Indigo can be used for many things. Installing addons is just one of the features. Let's take a closer look at some of the things it can be used for.
The Config Wizard option is no longer available so the Addon Installer should be used for new addons. From here you can access the following:
This allows you to do the following tasks:
This task is redundant now. It previously installed the latest version of Config Wizard.
This will reset Kodi back to its original version when it was installed.
This will upload various logs with a record of your online history.
Network Speed Test
This allows you to test your speed for uploading files of various sizes. It will then advise whether to expect buffering or not.
This will give you the following information:
This tells you upcoming live sporting events including date, time and which channel is broadcasting it.
Backup / Restore, Log Viewer and Notifications (Opt Out)
These do exactly as it says on the tin.
An alternative to the Indigo installer
Adding a custom Kodi build is a step up from the old Config Wizard and will install a complete set of featured addons. However, you should be aware that these builds also contain third-party addons so these may not all be legal.
To avoid any doubt you should use a VPN whenever connected to Kodi. Installing a build like No Limits Magic will give you access to some really good addons.
You will also get notified when the build has been updated so you can stay up-to-date with the latest Kodi addons that are in working order.

Why use a VPN?
If you are worried about streaming content that may be deemed illegal, then a VPN will protect your identity. It can also get past servers that are blocked and it can access content that is geo-restricted.
For example, if you are in USA and want to watch BBC iPlayer (blocked outside UK) you would just connect to a UK server on your VPN and you can then access it as if you are in UK.
A VPN can also bypass and bandwidth throttling which some ISPs practice to regulate their networks. They won't admit to this but it's pretty much common knowledge that this happens.
Whilst the Indigo installer is a good addon for Kodi, the builds offer so much more. Once you have installed a build, there is no need for another installer anyway.
Kodi is great but I prefer to use it as a secondary system only. My main TV system gives me access to all the premium live TV channels that I need.
