Best Pick TV Catch Up Service For 2018 plus On-Demand Content

By | February 26, 2018

Access to Pick TV Catch Up is something that is desirable but finding a good service is not easy. A lot of the companies that broadcast this have many annoying advertisements. The service I am going to tell you about has no advertisements and has 14 days of recorded programs.

Pick TV was originally called Sky 3 and was initially introduced as a platform to show off Sky's other more popular channels like Sky 1 and 2. It's came a long way since the early days and has built up a good fan base.

The channel is a Freeview service but finding a good way of watching it can be a bit of a minefield. If you are put off by continuous advertisements then this service may be just what you are looking for.

14 Days Advert Free

All of the catch up channels on this service go back 14 days. Pick TV is one of the channels that has all of the programs automatically recorded and ready to watch whenever you want.

You can choose which program you want to watch by accessing the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) via your remote. You then choose which day you want and select the recorded program from the menu. It's that easy.

There are no advertisements at all and the TV service is ready to replace any expensive cable or satellite TV system. There is even a 2 day Free Trial which will allow you to test it for yourself.

The On-Demand section contains 72,000+ titles. Choose from movies, TV shows, boxsets, documentaries, etc. A lot of series from Pick TV is included in the database and programs are added every day.

Who needs Netflix when you have this on-demand content and access to live TV channels too! This is a complete system, it's not just for catch up or on-demand content.

Internet Requirements

You can access this service via the internet from any country outside of the UK. If you are in a different timezone the catch up is something that really comes in handy, especially if you are on a different continent.

With any IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) service you will have a mininum internet speed requirement. I would recommend you have at least 10Mb/s to ensure a more stable IPTV service.

Better stability can also be achieved if you hard-wire it with an Etherrnet cable directly to your router. For your info, you do not need a VPN to use this TV service.

How to Access the Catch Up

This TV package for live channels supports several systems. You can use it with a MAG TV Box (most popular and best way), Android TV box, iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc) or Smart TV (Samsung and LG only).

However, the catch up is only accessible via MAG TV box or Smart TV. By far the best way is on a MAG box. These boxes are built for IPTV and require virtually no set up.

The video below shows how to access the catch up. Sorry for the poor quality video.

The TV service is not compatible with Kodi or an internet browser. The MAG TV box is connected to your TV via HDMI cable which is supplied with the box.

There are various models including MAG 250, 254, 256, 322 and 351 (in order of release). The boxes can be purchased online from most eStores including Amazon.

You only need to buy the box. Make sure you don't buy one that comes with an IPTV subscription bundled. These are not good services and you won't get any customer support if you have issues with any of the catch up channels.

2 Day Free Trial with No Obligation to Buy

We are widely recognized as one of the most stable IPTV services and pride ourselves on value for money and customer care. If you take our Free Trial we will assist you with any set up questions. Full channel lists and package prices are available on request.

Pick TV - What's On

You can access the Pick TV Guide for current listings at and you can also get a few days of lookahead on this TV Guide too.

You don't need to access any website to check TV listings when you sign up to this service. All programs are shown on the EPG with lookahead too.

In the early days of Pick TV you could watch Relic Hunter, Cold Case, Futurama, etc but these days a lot of people are searching for Zoo and Stargate SG-1. In my opinion Pick TV has too many reality shows now like Nothing to Declare, Motorway Patrol and Brit Cops but each to their own.

My Pick TV Highlights

Without a Trace

Aired: 2002 - 2009

This originally aired on CBS in America but you can now see it on Pick TV. The series ran from 2002 - 2009 before CBS pulled the plug on it.

Anthony LaPaglia stars with Poppy Montgomery where the FBI go after missing persons in suspicious circumstances and try to find out what's happened to them.

"TV Drama at it's finest"

Hawaii Five-0

Aired: 2010 - present

Steve arrives on Hawaii to hunt for his father's killer but he ends up with his own team after the State Governor offers him a position. Hawaii has no police force as such, so the task force is named Five-0 to handle crime on the islands.

Terrorism and organized crime feature in a lot of epsiodes which adds to the excitement.

"Classic Drama in Paradise"

Prison Break

Aired: 2005 - 2009, 2017

Paul Scheuring stars in this very popular TV drama which revolves around two brothers, one of which has been sentenced to death. The other brother gets himself jailed deliberately with a view to breaking his brother out.

Even today, my friends still rave about Prison Break and it was even returned to our screens in 2017 when they decided to make a season 5.

"Suspense, Danger and Violence Awaits"

Wrap Up

We have catch up on all the popular channels not only Pick TV. At the very least you should try our free trial to see if it's for you. Please check your system is compatible.

I’ve used Kodi before and for the most part I like it but it always has to be updated. It also has frequent problems and just doesn’t work. have you found this one to be more reliable? How much does it cost a month after the free trial is up?

Yes this one is far superior to Kodi mainly because the latter relies on free streams. Plus, searching for a catch up service for Pick TV on Kodi is a nightmare.

There is no organized way of finding it but this IPTV system is just like cable with a simple-to-use menu and EPG. After the trial, subscriptions start at €19.95 for access to the catch up and live channels.

    Hey Craig,

Wow what an interesting tv service that I had never herd of before. A few year back I visited the Europe and while there fell I love with a couple of tv shows that are just not available in the USA. Now I have the opportunity to go back and watch these shows which I’m really excited about (now I just have to remember their titles.)

You clearly showed that this can be used to watch past episodes and series but this leaves me wondering do they offer live tv streaming? If they do is there a delay between the actual live content and the streamed material?

I have a friend in London that I would love to harass while watching tv together and this just isn’t possible with the lag time between actual tv and streamed content from what I have found.

    Thanks for the great resource,

      Hi Atlas,

Yes I was also impressed when I found it. So much so, I actually decided to build this website to advertise it for expats. It just kind of snowballed from there.

Live channels are also included and they even have a time-shift feature. So, if you were watching Pick TV catch up you could actually pause, rewind or fast forward at any time.

All of this is done from your remote control either on the MAG box or Smart TV. There is also a huge on-demand section featuring box-sets, movies, etc. The list is endless. Let me know if you need any more info.
