Best Emmerdale Catch Up for 2018 Plus On Demand Library

By | March 7, 2018

Emmerdale is hugely popular in the UK but without a VPN you will struggle to watch any Emmerdale Catch Up outside of the UK, or will you? You may not be aware but with an IPTV subscription you can access Freeview UK TV Worldwide without the need for a VPN.

This TV service also offers a massive on-demand section with more than 72,000 Movies, TV shows, Boxsets, Documentaries, etc. The list is endless and it is updated constantly with new content.

If you are a big soaps fan and you're trying to watch Emmerdale from overseas then this service will allow you to do that. Plus, no more watching it on your tablet with a VPN connected.

Watch it on your TV and use it as your main TV system at a fraction of the cost of any cable or satellite TV subscription. When I discovered an IPTV service in 2016 it was the catalyst behind this website.

Watch Emmerdale whenever you want!

Watch Emmerdale On Demand

If you are in the UK you will have no problem watching any missed episodes on ITV Player or even on UKTVCatchUp website. It's only when you are outside of UK that you are faced with problems.

Using a VPN

I think most people are aware that you can "trick" apps like BBC iPlayer and ITV Player into thinking you are in the UK. Of course, to do this you need a good VPN subscription.

Firstly, you would connect to a UK server using your VPN then open the iPlayer to watch Emmerdale. This can be done on any Android or iOS device.

A free VPN is unlikely to work due to lack of servers and limited bandwidth. This means you need a subscription with a VPN provider that has a proven track record of getting past geo-restrictions.

One such VPN provider is PureVPN. I use them when I want to access certain things that are blocked outside of UK. I no longer use it for watching TV because the TV system I use doesn't need a VPN.

Using an IPTV Service

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) has been around for a good few years now and it can take various forms. Most people have heard of Netflix or HULU. These are IPTV applications and are also subscription services.

However, they have no Live TV channels and they have limited on-demand content. They are also not geared up for British TV especially soaps like Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Eastenders.

The IPTV service that I use has a 14 day Catch Up which is automatically saved on servers when the program has finished and it's ready to watch instantly.

It's what's known as a remote service and it can be viewed on several platforms.

Compatible Systems

You can choose from one of the following systems. The preferred method is on a MAG TV box. This is a Linux-based box that is designed for IPTV. They can be purchased on Amazon and other stores.

  • MAG TV box
  • Smart TV (Samsung and LG only)
  • Android Devices (Android TV box, tablet, etc).
  • iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc).

The system won't work on PC/Laptop and is not compatible with Kodi. If you're not familiar with Kodi it's basically a free TV app that can be used to access third-party streams including channels like ITV.

Kodi has been in the spotlight recently with a lot of servers being blocked in the UK for accessing copyright material. It can also be used with PureVPN to access geo-blocked content or servers.

It can be downloaded from the Play Store and used in conjunction with an Android TV box connected to your TV. The IPTV service that I use also offers a 2 Day Free Trial so you can test it for yourself.

Emmerdale Highlights

Here's a short video clip showing you how to access the catch up on this IPTV service and a couple of old favorites below to whet the appetite.

The Sugden house fire (2007)

When Jack told his children that his wife and Billy Hopkins has something going on, his daughter Victoria blamed herself. She later visited Billy and accused him of ruining her family.

Billy went on the defensive and accused the family of not exactly being Saints. He brought up the suspicion surrounding her mother's death and the fact that Jack has been there at the same time.

When she returned another day to quiz her father she saw her brother Andy and she hid in a nearby garage. She overheard Andty bump into Jack and seeing a petrol can in the garage decided to take action.

She lifted the can and took it back to Annie's cottage. When Jack and Andy turned up she poured it over the sofa and threatened to set it alight unless they told her what had happened to her mother.

When Andy told Victoria that he was to blame for the fire that killed Sarah she rushed upstairs, fell and banged her head. The pilot light came on and ignited the fumes which led to to a huge explosion. Daz Eden was knocked to the ground outside.

A second explosion ensued but eventually everyone was retrieved from the burning inferno.

The village hall helicopter crash (2015)

Pete Barton and Debbie Dingle's wedding at the village hall would be the scene of a helicopter crash. The accident was caused after Chrissie White set fire to her husband's car at the scrapyward.

The fire spread to some gas canisters that were nearby and and explosion hurtled debris into the air which collided with a helicopter. This was then sent hurtling towards the village hall.

Ruby Haswell was the first person to die as a result of the accident. Val Pollard was the next one to perish after being struck by shrapnell from the helicopter explosion ehen she was in a maze outside.

Ross Barton also dies in this episode after him and Pete got into a fight outside the hospital. Ross struck his head on a concrete wall and Pete ditches the body in the woods, covering the body with leaves. However, Ross appeared alive a few weeks later.

Wrap Up

If you haven't tried an IPTV service before and you are outside of the UK, you should at least take the 2 day trial and check out the Catch Up for Emmerdale yourself.
